We are located in Northern Maine and we mainly rebuild magnetos. Thats how we came up with our site name, Mainely Magnetos. I first learned the rebuilding business from my father, Gerald in the early 1970's. As a kid I always hung around the shop and loved watching dad rebuilding. My favorite was watching him repair Magnetos because of the Spark they made I guess. He was born in 1910 and watched our country evolve from horses to tractors.
Our Business hours are 8 to 5 Monday through Friday. We are in the shop some evenings and Saturday mornings however we may not be available to answer the phone, so please leave a message and we'll call you back as soon as possible.
Please note that we do not rebuild aircraft magnetos and none of our parts or services are approved for use in the aviation industry.
We do however rebuild magnetos for cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, and stationary engines. American and Robert Bosch, Case, Dixie, Edison, Eisemann, Fairbanks Morse, International Harvester, Lucas, Splitdorf, Sumter, Webster, and Wico to name a few. We also can rewind coils and rebuild condensers for those that are no longer available.
